Everton Football Club is one of world sport's most respected and revered names - a by-word for innovation and professionalism during the course of a glittering history which now spans three centuries.

In 1878, Everton was one of the founder-members of the world's first professional league and has played more games in English football's top-flight than any other club.

Everton have been English champions on nine occasions, runners-up seven times, have won the famous FA Cup five times and in 1985 won the European Cup-winners' Cup.

We are constant innovators in the footballing world, ceaselessly striving to be the best, and the first to accomplish new feats, while establishing new forms. We are one of the Founding Members of the Football League and pioneers of the game. 

Throughout our 140-year history we have been recognised as a family-oriented Club based on our proud traditions. The first Club to construct a purpose-built football stadium, Goodison Park is one of the most revered stadiums in England.

Everton’s reputation as a Club of 'firsts' has seen pioneering work in promoting inclusivity across the Everton Family.
The ‘All Together Now’ campaign ties together Everton FC and Everton in the Community’s collaborative work regarding equality and diversity to ensure all fans – and anyone visiting Goodison Park or its community facilities - feel welcome and catered for at all times.

On an ongoing basis, the Club will continue to develop and deliver initiatives aimed at further encouraging and celebrating equality and diversity.

Sunday Times Top 100 

In February 2018 Everton Football Club was named one of the best places to work in the UK for the second year running.

The Blues were included in the 2019 ‘Sunday Times 100 Best Companies To Work For’, an annual ranking and survey of Britain’s finest employers which is widely acknowledged as one of the most extensive studies into employee engagement in the country. 

Everton improved on the previous year’s position by climbing 25 places in the list, from 96th to 71st, having become the first football club to feature in the rankings in 2018. 

As well as improving its position in the prestigious list, the Club also moved from 1 to 2 Star Best Companies accreditation status in the space of a year, which is further recognition of the Blues’ ‘outstanding’ commitment to workplace engagement.

Over the preceding 12 months Everton introduced a number of employee benefits including enhanced maternity and paternity pay, a staff suggestion scheme, upgraded learning and development programmes, and tangible opportunities for internal progression.
